About Nautical Artistry

James Stallworth, a pin and ink artist and his wife Ruth Ann operate Nautical
Artistry from their home in Foley, Alabama. Here, you will find his original
nautical art, prints from his originals, note cards made from the original
drawings, and fine art wood burnings of a nautical nature.
Stallworth, a retired Baldwin County deputy sheriff, began drawing in 1984
while living on the Bon Secour River in South Baldwin County, Alabama.  His
pen and ink drawings have captured many nostalgic, nautical scenes typical of
the fishing and shrimping communities along the Gulf of Mexico.   Many of the
once everyday subjects he has drawn over the last twenty two years,  no
longer exist.  The old wooden "bay shrimpers" and many of the quaint mom
and pop businesses along the coast are becoming a thing of the past.
Stallworth continues to draw and new items will be showcased on this website
on a regular basis.
